To store batteries one can tape the poles of the batteries to prevent fires.
Additional Fee for the Handling of Asphalt and Asbestos
01.06.2025: At iSEKK, we are committed to handling all types of waste in a safe and compliant manner. Waste types such as asphalt and asbestos require special handling and incur additional costs related to transport, packaging, and disposal in accordance with current regulations.
To cover these costs, a handling surcharge will be applied for delivery or collection of asphalt and/or asbestos:
- Asbestos: Surcharge of NOK 995,- excl. VAT per delivery
- Asphalt in bags: Surcharge of NOK 1,000,- excl. VAT per bag
Please note that asphalt bags must be collected using a small crane truck, which may affect availability and pickup capacity.
These surcharges will take effect on June 1, 2025, and are in addition to the standard transport rates.

Do not use Big iSEKK for heavy materials
From the 1st of December 2022 iSEKK AS will no longer pick up Big bags with heavy materials (Such as stones, concrete, soil, gravel). The reason for this is the safety when the bags are being loaded for transport. Note that the Big iSEKK is labeled with: Not suitable for heavy materials. For Heavy materials we recommend the Standard iSEKK or the Trolley iSEKK. Both of these bags are very well suited for this type of waste.
Where does the waste go?
iSEKK collaborates with Norsk Gjenvinning on the treatment of waste collected by iSEKK in Eastern Norway. Norsk Gjenvinning is a leading total supplier of waste management in Norway.

What kind of waste must be disposed of separately?
The following waste types cannot be mixed with other waste, they must be disposed of in a separate iSEKK:
- Electronic waste
- Hazardous waste such as treated wood (impregnated)
- Garden waste
- Gypsum
- Insulation
- Mass and plaster
- Phthalates, roofing felt, asbestos *
- Bathroom panels with pentachlorophenol *
- Insulation with CFCs/HFCs/PUR/XPS *
- Tires *
